PwC Austria is part of the global PwC network, one of the four largest audit and consulting firms worldwide. 1,450 advisors in Austria, with a broad range spanning audit, tax advisory, and strategy and digital consulting.
Client projects are rarely about recommendations alone. Clients expect PwC to conclude its consulting work with functioning processes — not a slide document. For that, advisors need a platform on which they can build workflows themselves.
The challenge
What was difficult before.
Traditional consulting ends when the recommendation is delivered. What comes after — implementation, operation, further development — is usually outside the consulting contract. That frustrates clients and breaks the value chain.
PwC wanted to shorten the step from recommendation to live system. Advisors should be able to build workflows directly during the project — structured, validated against the client rule set, ready for productive delivery. Without a software department of their own.
The challenge: advisors are not developers. They do not want to study APIs. They want to translate their subject-matter expertise directly into an executable workflow — as a no-code designer experience.

Workflow definitions are available as a versioned export (JSON + Markdown). Client data remains in PwC data residency and can be extracted in structured form. Audit trails are documented as an append-only log and are exportable. No lock-in effects beyond the ongoing consulting engagement.
